Two events have been removed from the calendar:

  • July Chance Meeting: Previously scheduled for July 7, 2025, this event focused on branding and customer connection.
  • Noontime Knowledge: This event on fundraising, planned for July 17, 2025, has been canceled.

New Release: Yellowstone visitation statistics for August 2025 show a 2% increase compared to August 2024. More details available on the park's official site.

New section added: 'Volunteer Opportunities' with details on how to participate in local community services.

Event "Afterschool at the Library - Perler Beads" on September 16, 2025, at 3:30 PM has been removed from the schedule.

Guest speaker announcement: Dr. Emily Carter to speak at the annual conference on sustainable energy.

The description for the Annual HS State Ski Meet on Mar 5, 2026, has been updated to announce that it will take place at Snow King.

The King Concerts 2025 event featuring Rainbow Kitten Surprise on Sep 3, 2025, has been removed. Updated details for Oktoberfest 2025 with additional information about breweries and food. New details for New Year's Eve: Torch Light Parade at 7 PM and fireworks at 7:30 PM, skiers only.

Grizzly bear research captures to begin in Yellowstone National Park on Sept. 1. Biologists aim to document the recovery of grizzly bears in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. Read more

Fishing partially reopens in Yellowstone National Park due to cooler temperatures and rainfall. Visitors can now fish on select rivers and streams, but restrictions remain in place from 2 p.m. to sunrise. Read more

Kaleo's performance has been removed from the King Concerts 2025 lineup.

The New Year's Eve event now includes a torchlight parade starting at approximately 7 PM, followed by fireworks.

New event added: Plant Propagation Station from Sep 2 to Oct 1. Visit to take and donate plant cuttings.

Oktoberfest 2025 description updated! Enjoy breweries, music, and food at Snow King Oktoberfest.

Library events have been updated to include FREE admission for all activities. New events added include Alta Sit-n-Knit on Wed, Sep 10, 2025, at 1:30 PM, offering a social gathering for fabric artists. Some events like the Dungeons and Dragons Club and the Alta Back to School Basics Workshop now require registration.

  • UPDATE: Fishing partially reopens on select rivers in Yellowstone National Park (August 29, 2025): Effective immediately, select rivers and streams that had been previously closed due to high water temperatures and low flows in Yellowstone National Park will partially reopen to fishing due to recent cooler temperatures and rainfall. Fishing remains closed from 2 p.m. to sunrise the following day due to continuing warm water temperatures and low river flows. Read more
  • Biologists to begin 2025 grizzly bear captures for research purposes in Yellowstone National Park (August 27, 2025): As part of ongoing monitoring efforts to document recovery of grizzly bears, pre-baiting and scientific capture operations are set to begin in Yellowstone from September 1 through October 15.
